About Ant International and the Role

We are seeking a Regional Tax Manager Middle East to join our team in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. This is a full-time position critical to our operations in the region.

Role Overview

The Regional Tax Manager will be responsible for all tax matters concerning Ant International across the Middle East. This scope includes key jurisdictions such as Saudi Arabia and the UAE, as well as other markets that Ant International enters. The role involves ensuring comprehensive tax compliance, managing relationships with authorities, and providing strategic tax advisory support for business operations and new initiatives.

Key Responsibilities

  • Ensure full compliance with local tax legislations across the Middle East region, including the timely filing of corporate tax, withholding tax, and VAT returns.
  • Manage the month-end closing process, encompassing monthly Corporate Income Tax (CIT) provision and transfer pricing calculations.
  • Cultivate and manage relationships with government authorities and external tax advisors, handling tax enquiries and managing any tax controversies.
  • Oversee transfer pricing policy, processes, and procedures in close collaboration with the Group tax team.
  • Provide tax advisory support for product launches, assessing tax implications of business transactions, and proposing solutions to minimize tax costs based on detailed business understanding.
  • Manage resolutions with tax authorities, including leading advanced tax ruling processes where applicable.
  • Support the setup of new entities, advising on tax-efficient structures.
  • Review and update tax policies and processes, ensuring the business and Group tax team are informed of tax issues and legislative changes.

Required Qualifications and Experience

  • A minimum of 8 years of work experience in tax.
  • Demonstrated knowledge of Saudi Arabia tax regulations and exposure to UAE tax.
  • Willingness to proactively research tax topics to minimize reliance on external tax consultants.
  • A strong attention to detail.
  • Ability to work proactively, independently, and demonstrate accountability for outcomes.
  • Authorization to work in Saudi Arabia is required.

Preferred Attributes

  • Experience in the financial industry is beneficial but not mandatory.
  • Prior experience working in-house is preferred.
  • Possession of a tax professional certification such as CPA, ACCA, CTA, or an equivalent qualification, is advantageous.

This full-time position is based in our Riyadh office in Saudi Arabia. The successful candidate will operate within a dynamic international environment, contributing to Ant International's growth and compliance efforts across the Middle East.
