About the Reservation Agent Role

Marriott International is seeking a Reservation Agent to join our team in Riyadh. This full-time role is responsible for managing all aspects of guest reservations, from initial requests to changes and cancellations. The agent will play a key role in identifying guest needs, determining appropriate room types, and ensuring overall guest satisfaction by clearly explaining policies and accommodating special requests. This position is suitable for candidates with 0-1 years of experience.

Key Responsibilities

• Process all reservation requests, changes, and cancellations received via phone, fax, or mail.
• Identify guest reservation needs and determine the most appropriate room type and rate.
• Verify the availability of room types and rates within the reservation system.
• Explain guarantee, special rate, and cancellation policies clearly to callers.
• Accommodate and accurately document all special guest requests.
• Answer questions regarding property facilities, services, and room accommodations.
• Apply sales techniques to maximize revenue opportunities.
• Input and access data efficiently within the reservation system.
• Indicate special room reservation types, such as complimentary rooms, employee discounts, and wholesale reservations, by entering the correct codes and rates.

Operational Standards and Guest Engagement

• Follow proper escalation procedures when addressing guest concerns to ensure timely resolution.
• Adhere to all company policies and procedures, maintaining a professional appearance and strict confidentiality.
• Welcome and acknowledge all guests according to company standards, anticipating and addressing service needs, including assisting individuals with disabilities.
• Communicate professionally and answer telephones using appropriate etiquette.
• Develop and maintain positive working relationships with colleagues, supporting team goals, and responding appropriately to concerns.
• Comply with all quality assurance expectations and standards.
• Perform physical tasks such as moving, lifting, carrying, pushing, pulling, and placing objects weighing up to 10 pounds without assistance.
• Execute other reasonable job duties as requested by supervisors.

Required Qualifications

• High school diploma or *** equivalent.
• No related work experience is required; suitable for entry-level candidates (0-1 years experience).
• No supervisory experience is required for this role.
• No specific license or certification is required.
