Safety Supervisor

About the Role

Larsen & Toubro is seeking a Safety Supervisor to join their team in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. This full-time role involves overseeing and implementing EHS policies, procedures, and site safety plans to ensure a safe working environment. The ideal candidate will have 5-10 years of experience in a relevant field.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct daily site inspections, safety observations, and workplace risk assessments.
• Identify hazards and ensure appropriate corrective and preventive actions are implemented.
• Lead Toolbox Talks, safety inductions, and regular HSE training sessions.
• Monitor compliance with PPE, PTW, LOTO, working at height, lifting, excavation, and confined-space requirements.
• Ensure proper implementation of Job Safety Analysis (JSA) / Risk Assessments / Method Statements.
• Investigate accidents, incidents, near misses, and unsafe conditions, preparing detailed reports.
• Maintain and monitor HSE statistics, KPIs, inspection reports, and safety records.
• Coordinate emergency preparedness, drills, fire safety, and evacuation procedures.
• Monitor contractors and subcontractors for compliance with project HSE requirements.
• Conduct regular site audits and follow up on corrective actions.
• Ensure proper environmental practices, including waste management, pollution prevention, and spill control.
• Liaise with project management, clients, consultants, and government authorities on HSE matters.
• Stop unsafe work when necessary and ensure hazards are rectified before work resumes.
• Support continuous improvement of the project's HSE culture and performance.

Qualifications and Experience

• 5-10 years of experience in a safety-related role.

Required Skills

• Strong leadership, communication, reporting, and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to work effectively in a site-based and multicultural environment.

Work Environment

This position is based on-site in Riyadh, Riyadh, Saudi Arabia, and requires working in a multicultural setting. The role is full-time.
