Safety Training Instructor

About the Role

BAE Systems Saudi Arabia is seeking a Safety Training Instructor to join their team in Riyadh. This full-time role involves instructing students on Workplace and Environmental Safety, with a specific focus on safety aspects related to Flying Operations, Airfield Operations, and Aviation & Ground Support Equipment Maintenance/Usage, in accordance with approved syllabi.

Key Responsibilities

• Instruct students on Workplace and Environmental Safety, emphasizing safety in Flying Operations, Airfield Operations, and Aviation & Ground Support Equipment Maintenance/Usage.
• Develop courseware based on associated Training Needs Analysis (TNA) under the guidance of a senior instructor.
• Provide practical and multi-media demonstrations on safety as appropriate.
• Instruct on safety aspects within a military workplace environment, including Safety Health and Environment, Product Safety, Air Safety, and basic Munitions Safety.
• Conduct regular assessments and phase-end examinations to monitor student academic progress and ensure training objectives are met.
• Promote independent learning and a military ethos, providing ongoing evaluation of student discipline and offering counsel on academic and discipline issues.
• Record student academic assessment results, lesson attendance, and any discipline issues.
• Provide regular reports on student academic progress, lesson attendance, and discipline, reporting other relevant issues as required.
• Apply RSAF procedures for configuration control of curriculum and courseware, including preparing documentation for change requests.
• Integrate new training materials or equipment into relevant courses and ensure proper maintenance and storage of all training equipment.
• Operate training and operational equipment related to the specialty.

Additional Duties

• Ensure compliance with SHE policy and processes, and Duty of Care responsibilities.
• Undertake all mandatory and developmental training as required by the Company.
• Adhere to acceptable standards of behavior, dress, and performance as defined in Company policy.
• Provide feedback to management to improve service performance and responsiveness.
• Perform additional tasks as requested by the Senior Instructor or customer that are reasonable for a professional instructor.

Qualifications and Experience

• A minimum of 5-10 years of relevant experience is required for this role.
