About the Role

Majid Al Futtaim is seeking a Sales & Distribution Manager for theatrical film releases in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. This full-time position requires 5-10 years of experience and is responsible for driving success across the KSA and Bahrain markets.

Role Purpose

The primary objective of this role is to maximize box office performance through strategic forecasting, film booking, release planning, and comprehensive performance analysis. The manager will work closely with studios, exhibitors, and internal teams to ensure efficient distribution, accurate reporting, and compliance with local censorship requirements, while also cultivating key stakeholder relationships.

Key Responsibilities

• Support film booking, release planning, and distribution strategies to maximize box office performance across markets.
• Analyze release performance and provide data-driven recommendations on screen allocation, formats, timing, and revenue targets.
• Build strong partnerships with Studios by sharing market insights, performance analysis, and strategic recommendations.
• Own performance reporting, forecasting, and post-release reviews, ensuring accuracy and continuous improvement of reporting models.
• Manage and govern studio systems, databases, dashboards, and reporting tools to maintain data integrity and consistency.
• Monitor cinema programs, screen allocations, and exhibitor performance, while supporting localization, censorship, and film placement activities.
• Oversee operational readiness and execution of film releases, coordinating with Marketing, Sales, Technical, and Logistics teams.
• Act as a key liaison between Head Office, local markets, exhibitors, and studio partners to ensure alignment, efficient distribution, and successful release execution.

Performance Analysis and Reporting

This role involves rigorous analysis of release performance, providing data-driven recommendations on screen allocation, formats, timing, and revenue targets. The manager will own performance reporting, forecasting, and post-release reviews, focusing on accuracy and continuous improvement of reporting models. Additionally, managing and governing studio systems, databases, dashboards, and reporting tools is essential to maintain data integrity and consistency.

Stakeholder Management and Operational Oversight

Building strong partnerships with Studios is a key aspect, achieved by sharing market insights, performance analysis, and strategic recommendations. The Sales & Distribution Manager acts as a central liaison between Head Office, local markets, exhibitors, and studio partners to ensure alignment and successful release execution. This includes monitoring cinema programs, screen allocations, exhibitor performance, and overseeing operational readiness for film releases, coordinating with Marketing, Sales, Technical, and Logistics teams.
