About the Role

Amazon Saudi Arabia (ex-Souq) is seeking a Security Assurance Solutions Architect to join the AWS Security Assurance Services team in Riyadh. This full-time role requires 5-10 years of relevant experience and focuses on establishing scalable security solutions for customers migrating to the cloud.

Role Purpose and Scope

The Security Assurance Solutions Architect expands the Security Assurance practice by educating enterprise customers on operating securely on AWS and achieving compliance objectives. This customer-facing position involves enabling customers to move workloads and regulated data into the cloud by addressing specific risk, regulatory, and compliance requirements. The role operates at the intersection of cloud, cybersecurity, and compliance, engaging with multiple lines of business and various security and compliance use cases.

Key Responsibilities

• Collaborate with Amazonians, partners, and customers to enhance security assurance and compliance programs.
• Define compliance and risk management approaches for customers, facilitating the secure migration of sensitive workloads to the cloud.
• Address security assurance questions and provide guidance on managing risk and achieving compliance within the AWS Cloud through discussions, presentations, and demonstrations of compliance automation.
• Provide feedback to AWS engineering, support, and business teams to inform technology roadmaps.
• Travel to customer sites as required.

Candidates for this role should be innovative security and compliance professionals with 5-10 years of experience. The position requires the ability to manage a range of compliance requirements, analyze details, translate requirements into scalable solutions, and communicate effectively across all organizational levels.

The AWS Security Assurance Services team is a PCI-QSAC (Payment Card Industry-Qualified Security Assessor Company) and HITRUST External Assessor Firm. Composed of industry-certified assessors, the team assists customers in achieving, maintaining, and automating compliance in the cloud by connecting audit standards with AWS service features and functionality.
