About the Role

Amazon Saudi Arabia (ex-Souq) is seeking a Senior Security Assurance Solutions Architect to join the Security Assurance Services (SAS) team. This full-time, customer-facing role is based in Riyadh and operates at the intersection of cloud computing, cybersecurity, and compliance. The primary objective is to enable customers to migrate their workloads and regulated data to the cloud by addressing specific risk, regulatory, and compliance requirements.

Team and Context

The Security Assurance Services (SAS) team, a part of Amazon Web Services (AWS), focuses on establishing scalable security solutions for both internal and external customers. The team's mission involves securing global workloads and investing in security mechanisms and automation. This includes working with large enterprise customers to operationalize the shared responsibility model as they transition to the AWS cloud platform, which is recognized as a comprehensive and widely adopted cloud computing service.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead teams comprising Amazonians, partners, and customers to enhance security assurance and compliance programs.
• Define innovative compliance and risk management approaches for customers, facilitating the secure migration of sensitive workloads to the cloud.
• Address security assurance questions and guide customers on managing risk and achieving compliance within the AWS Cloud through deep dive discussions, strategic presentations, and hands-on demonstrations of compliance automation.
• Collaborate with AWS engineering, support, and business teams to integrate partner and customer feedback into AWS technology roadmaps.
• Travel to customer sites as required to support engagements.

Required Qualifications

• Experience in information security and compliance.
• Experience in risk management and internal audit, including performing risk assessments, designing controls, managing enterprise control frameworks, and prioritizing risk.
• Experience securing cloud software services and understanding design principles for scalability, performance, and reliability.
• A minimum of 3 years of experience advising customers on architectures that meet industry standards and regulations.
• Demonstrated ability to think strategically about business, product, and technical challenges.
