About the Role

Northern Trust, a global leader in wealth management, asset servicing, asset management, and banking services, is seeking a Senior Analyst, Security Processing to join its operations in Riyadh. This full-time position focuses on managing critical operational activities within Custody Operations.

Role Overview

The Senior Analyst, Security Processing will be responsible for overseeing and managing various operational processes essential for Custody Operations. This includes the trade settlement process, corporate actions and income management, and account opening procedures. The role requires a proactive approach to ensure accuracy, efficiency, and compliance across all operational activities.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage Middle Eastern trade and settlement activities.
  • Provide oversight for cash and stock reconciliations, ensuring regulatory compliance.
  • Manage proxy voting activities to ensure accuracy.
  • Maintain strong working relationships with internal stakeholders across various locations to meet service level agreements.
  • Cultivate and maintain relationships with different counterparties.
  • Analyze internal reports, raising queries as needed to ensure client delivery is accurate and compliant with local regulations.
  • Participate in custody operations meetings with other locations to develop and maintain subject matter expertise.
  • Resolve queries and take action within set standards and timeframes.
  • Provide required documentation and information to auditors to facilitate smooth audit processes and ensure compliance with regulatory standards.
  • Participate in the preparation of monthly and quarterly Key Performance Indicators (KPIs).
  • Escalate issues appropriately and maintain open lines of communication.
  • Update operational procedures to reflect process changes.
  • Collaborate closely with the Local Depository.

Qualifications and Requirements

  • Proven experience in investment operations, with a preference for custody operations.
  • Fair knowledge of the Saudi market.
  • Excellent Arabic and English communication skills.
  • A proactive approach with ownership of issues through to resolution.
  • Ability to multitask, with strong analytical and problem-solving skills supported by organization and time management.
  • Good knowledge and understanding of risk management and regulations.
  • The ability to operate effectively within a team environment.

Work Environment

This is a full-time position based in Riyadh. The role involves working collaboratively within a team and interacting with internal stakeholders and external counterparties.
