Senior BIM/CAD Engineer

About the Role

Parsons is seeking a Senior BIM/CAD Engineer to lead BIM coordination, digital engineering management, and CAD standards implementation for a major Airport, Infrastructure, and Airfield Development Project in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. This full-time role involves managing BIM workflows, coordinating engineering models, and ensuring compliance with project BIM requirements across multiple disciplines.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead BIM coordination activities across the airport development program.
• Establish and maintain BIM workflows, standards, procedures, and coordination requirements.
• Support the implementation of the Project BIM Execution Plan (BEP) and Digital Delivery Strategy.
• Provide technical guidance to BIM engineers, CAD technicians, consultants, and contractors.
• Ensure BIM deliverables align with project objectives, client requirements, and international best practices.
• Coordinate BIM models across all engineering disciplines, including Civil, Structural, Architectural, Mechanical, Electrical, ICT, Airfield Infrastructure, Utilities, and Airport Specialist Systems.
• Perform model federation, clash detection, and interface coordination to resolve spatial conflicts.
• Review BIM models, CAD drawings, and digital engineering deliverables for compliance with project standards, LOD, LOI, and information requirements.
• Manage CAD standards, templates, workflows, and drawing production requirements, ensuring consistency across all documentation.
• Provide BIM support during construction, installation, testing, commissioning, and handover phases, including reviewing contractor submissions and resolving field coordination issues.
• Support the development and management of asset information models (AIM) to ensure BIM data supports operation and maintenance requirements.
• Coordinate information exchange with clients, airport authorities, consultants, contractors, and specialist system suppliers.
• Prepare BIM coordination reports, clash detection reports, model review comments, and progress updates.

Project Scope

The Senior BIM/CAD Engineer will ensure accurate digital representation of airport assets, including passenger terminals, runways, taxiways, cargo aprons, aircraft stands, landside facilities, utility networks, and operational infrastructure. This role supports design review, construction coordination, digital delivery, and asset handover requirements for complex airport environments.

Qualifications and Experience

• A minimum of 10 years of experience in BIM/CAD engineering roles.
• Demonstrated experience in leading BIM coordination activities for large-scale infrastructure projects, preferably in airport development.
• Proficiency in BIM software and digital engineering tools.
• Strong understanding of BIM execution plans, digital delivery strategies, and international best practices.

Work Environment

This position is based in Riyadh, Riyadh, and is a full-time role within Parsons. The successful candidate will work within a team supporting the Delivery Partner, collaborating with multidisciplinary engineering teams and various project stakeholders.
