This full-time role, based in Riyadh, is critical for expanding the company’s client base, securing new projects, and strengthening long-term relationships with existing partners. The position requires deep market knowledge, strong industry networks, and a proven track record of winning business within the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, particularly in the design and construction consultancy sectors.

Key Responsibilities

The Senior Business Development Leader will be responsible for leading commercial initiatives and strategic market expansion. This includes:

• Leading the company’s business development strategy for Saudi Arabia, focusing on securing new clients and high-value projects.
• Identifying, pursuing, and converting new business opportunities across design and construction consultancy sectors.
• Developing and executing market penetration plans aligned with the company’s regional growth objectives.
• Building a strong pipeline of opportunities through proactive networking, market intelligence, and relationship building.

Client Relationship Management

A core aspect of this role involves fostering and expanding client relationships to ensure sustained business growth and partnerships. Responsibilities include:

• Strengthening and expanding relationships with existing clients to ensure repeat business and long-term partnerships.
• Conducting regular client engagement meetings to understand needs, upcoming projects, and satisfaction levels.
• Providing strategic account management to improve retention and increase wallet share.

Commercial and Strategic Leadership

The role requires strong leadership in commercial processes, proposal development, and market strategy. Key duties include:

• Leading bid development, proposal submissions, and commercial negotiations for major projects.
• Collaborating closely with design, engineering, and project delivery teams to prepare competitive proposals.
• Ensuring all proposals meet client requirements, budget expectations, and technical standards.
• Monitoring market trends, competitor activities, regulatory changes, and upcoming project opportunities in KSA.
• Providing insights and recommendations to senior leadership on market positioning and strategic direction.
• Representing the company at industry events, exhibitions, and networking forums.
• Working closely with UAE and KSA leadership teams to align business development activities with operational capabilities.
• Coordinating with design, engineering, commercial, and project teams to ensure seamless project handover and delivery.
• Supporting the development of marketing materials, capability statements, and client presentations.

Required Qualifications and Experience

Candidates must demonstrate a strong background in business development within the Saudi Arabian market.

• Experience: Minimum 10 years of business development experience in Saudi Arabia within design, construction consulting, and engineering.
• Proven track record of winning new business and securing major projects in KSA.
• Strong portfolio of existing client relationships within government, semi-government, developers, consultants, and contractors.
• Experience working with high-end, complex, or fast-track projects is highly desirable.
• Education: Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (Civil, Architectural, Mechanical, or related field) preferred.
• Additional qualifications in business, project management, or construction management are a plus.
