Project Overview

This Senior Commercial Manager position is part of one of the largest development programmes in Saudi Arabia. The project involves a major mixed-use development, encompassing sports facilities, entertainment venues, arts complexes, and all associated infrastructure. Mace operates as a key delivery partner, seeking experienced professionals to lead integrated teams throughout each phase of this extensive programme.

The Senior Commercial Manager Role

As a Senior Commercial Manager, you will be responsible for directing critical commercial processes and ensuring effective cost management within a large-scale development. This full-time role requires leadership in contractual execution, financial reporting, and team performance, contributing to the successful delivery of the project in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia.

Key Responsibilities

• Direct the preparation and formal execution of contract documents, warranties, bonds, and licences with all relevant parties.
• Lead large teams, driving performance, behaviours, and continuous improvement to achieve organisational Key Performance Indicators (KPIs).
• Oversee valuation measurement to ensure effective cost control, accurate forecasting, and precise commercial reporting.
• Direct the production and client presentation of monthly post-contract cost reports.
• Proactively identify cost impacts arising from design changes, contract awards, construction activities, and client-driven requirements.
• Oversee the evaluation of contractor and subcontractor claims related to delays and additional costs.
• Direct the issuance of practical completion certificates and provide advice on making-good-defects and final completion requirements.
• Lead Cost Consultants in enhancing cost management procedures, tools, and templates, promoting best practice, continuous improvement, and supporting net-zero carbon objectives.

• Demonstrated management experience within large, diverse teams.
