The Role: Senior Consultant - Procurement

Turner & Townsend is seeking a Senior Consultant - Procurement to join its Contract Services Team. This full-time position is based at a client project office in Riyadh, KSA. The Contract Services Team specializes in procurement and contracting strategy, claims management, and dispute resolution. The successful candidate will contribute to delivering strategic procurement and contract advice, including end-to-end procurement services for significant projects and programmes.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide specialist procurement strategy advice to public and private sector clients.
  • Manage and collaborate with a team on end-to-end procurement services for major projects or programmes.
  • Support the development of procurement services offered by Turner & Townsend.
  • Contribute to business development and marketing efforts for the Contract Services team’s service proposition.
  • Support the achievement of both team and wider business targets.
  • Assist with bid preparation and proposal documentation to enhance the Contract Services team's work-winning capability.

Required Qualifications and Experience

  • A degree, preferably in construction, civil engineering, quantity surveying, law, or procurement.
  • MCIPS qualification or a master's degree in Strategic Procurement.
  • Experience leading and/or supporting projects within a strategic procurement environment.
  • Demonstrated experience in procuring construction packages.
  • A strong background in tender preparation and the development of related documents in relevant sectors, including process design and key documentation.
  • Experience leading and/or supporting supplier engagement activities, from market engagement through to contract award.
  • Proficiency in using a range of standard form contracts, encompassing terms development, negotiation, and award processes.
