Mace is a global consultancy and construction company focused on unlocking potential in projects and people. We are seeking a Senior Contracts Manager Legal to join our team in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. This full-time role is integral to one of the largest programmes in Saudi Arabia, a significant mixed-use development that includes sports, entertainment, arts facilities, and extensive infrastructure.

The Opportunity

The Senior Contracts Manager Legal will provide strategic leadership in contract administration, claims management, and dispute avoidance specifically for the tennis project within the larger programme. This position is responsible for safeguarding contractual interests, mitigating commercial risk, and driving the effective resolution of complex matters. The role ensures all activities align with programme objectives, cost control measures, quality standards, and governance requirements.

Key Responsibilities

  • Champion safety, well-being, and a proactive safety-first culture.
  • Demonstrate leadership aligned with organisational values and behaviours.
  • Lead contract administration, claims management, and commercial governance.
  • Advise on contractual obligations, risk allocation, and entitlement matters.
  • Drive claims prevention, dispute avoidance, and resolution strategies.
  • Assess claims, variations, time extensions, and commercial submissions.
  • Provide commercial risk advice, stakeholder guidance, and negotiation support.
  • Maintain robust governance, records, compliance, and team capability development.
  • Administer contracts, commercial processes, and project financial controls through to completion.
  • Manage valuations, variations, payments, and claims, offering balanced commercial advice.
  • Lead stakeholder engagement, reporting, and contract compliance to support informed decision-making.
  • Develop high-performing teams while driving continuous improvement and supporting sustainability objectives.

Qualifications and Requirements

  • A degree in construction law, commercial, or a related discipline.
  • Professional accreditation is preferred (*, RICS, CIArb, PMP or equivalent).
  • Significant experience in contracts and claims management.
  • Strong expertise in commercial, contractual, and stakeholder management.
  • Ability to meet necessary visa criteria for the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia.
  • Relevant work experience on high-value projects/programmes for a project management consultancy business, as required for immigration and client approval.
