About the Role
Larsen & Toubro is seeking a Contracts Manager to join their team in Riyadh. This full-time position focuses on supporting global contracting activities during the tendering, bid preparation, contract formation, and procurement stages. The role involves reviewing, drafting, negotiating, and standardizing contractual documents for both client-facing and supply chain engagements.
Role Purpose and Context
The Contracts Manager will ensure effective contractual risk management, appropriate flow-down of obligations from main contracts into downstream agreements, and compliance with corporate contract governance requirements. This position provides support across multiple regions and requires close collaboration with Tendering, Supply Chain, Legal, Finance, and Project teams globally.
Key Responsibilities
- Review client contract documents during tender and pre-award stages.
- Prepare contractual risk assessments, qualifications, and tender contractual positions.
- Draft and negotiate pre-bid, cooperation, consortium, and related agreements.
- Draft and maintain supply chain contract documents, including purchase order terms, subcontract agreements, and service agreements.
- Ensure appropriate flow-down of client contract obligations into supplier and subcontractor agreements.
- Support contract governance, standardization, and risk management activities.
- Provide contractual support to Tendering, Supply Chain, Projects, Legal, and Finance teams globally.
Qualifications and Experience
- A law degree or equivalent legal qualification with 5-8 years of relevant experience in EPC, engineering, or construction contracting.
- Alternatively, a non-legal degree with significant pre-contract/contract formation experience in EPC, engineering, or construction projects, preferably supported by an MBA, LLM, or equivalent postgraduate qualification. This alternative requires approximately 15 years of industry experience, including at least 10 years in pre-contract and contract formation activities.
Work Environment
This role is based in Riyadh and involves collaboration with various internal teams across multiple regions, including Tendering, Supply Chain, Projects, Legal, and Finance.
