About the Role

Marriott International is seeking a Senior Corporate Sales Manager to join the team in Riyadh. This full-time role is responsible for proactively soliciting and managing large group and catering opportunities with significant revenue potential. The position focuses on maximizing revenue through strategic upselling and ensuring business is transitioned effectively for service delivery, while driving customer loyalty through service excellence.

Core Responsibilities

  • Target group and catering accounts, markets, or segments with an emphasis on proactive solicitation and account saturation.
  • Manage group and catering opportunities not handled by an Event Booking Center (EBC), or all opportunities if the property does not participate in an EBC.
  • Identify, qualify, and solicit new group and catering business to achieve personal and property revenue goals, focusing on accounts with significant potential.
  • Develop effective sales plans and actions, including designing, developing, and selling creative catered events.
  • Maximize revenue by upselling packages and creative food and beverage options.
  • Analyze the overall market, including competitors, economic trends, and supply/demand, to position sales strategies effectively.
  • Utilize negotiating skills and creative selling abilities to close business and finalize contracts.
  • Conduct site inspections and create contracts as required.
  • Execute operational aspects of booked business, including generating proposals and managing customer correspondence.

Customer Engagement and Relationship Management

  • Handle complex business opportunities with significant revenue potential and high customer expectations.
  • Build and strengthen relationships with existing and new customers through sales calls, entertainment, FAM trips, and trade shows to secure future bookings.
  • Develop relationships within the community to expand the customer base for group and catering sales.
  • Support the brand’s Service and Relationship Strategy, driving customer loyalty by delivering service excellence and growing account share.
  • Execute brand’s Customer Service Standards and property’s Brand Standards, ensuring customer satisfaction before and during programs or events.
  • Understand customer needs and recommend appropriate features and services that meet or exceed expectations, fostering loyalty to the property and brand.
  • Collaborate with off-property sales channels to ensure coordinated and complementary sales efforts.
  • Manage and develop relationships with key internal and external stakeholders.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or GED with 2 years of experience in sales and marketing, guest services, front desk, or a related professional area.
  • OR a 2-year degree from an accredited university in Business Administration, Marketing, Hotel and Restaurant Management, or a related major, with no work experience required.
