About the Role
Mace is seeking a Senior Cost Manager to provide comprehensive cost management services throughout the full project lifecycle. This full-time role supports both ongoing and new commissions across multiple sectors, requiring specialist expertise and advanced technical capability to deliver effective commercial outcomes and informed decision-making. This position is based in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia, and is open to Saudi nationals.
Project Overview
The successful candidate will contribute to a landmark multipurpose venue in the heart of Riyadh. This venue is designed as a dynamic destination for sports, entertainment, cultural activities, and community engagement. Created for long-term flexibility and year-round activation, it will host a diverse range of events, bringing people together and enhancing the city's vibrant social and recreational landscape.
Key Responsibilities
- Champion safety, quality, sustainability, and compliance standards, ensuring effective project governance and a people-focused culture.
- Oversee cost planning, procurement, and commercial management to deliver successful project outcomes and client value.
- Drive ethical, financially sound operations aligned with business objectives, regulatory requirements, and net zero ambitions.
- Manage and develop high-performing teams, fostering continuous improvement, innovation, and excellence in delivery.
- Supervise feasibility studies, procurement strategy, and contract selection, providing robust commercial advice from project inception through delivery.
- Direct cost planning, estimating, valuation, and reporting activities, ensuring effective cost control and informed decision-making.
- Manage contractual and commercial processes, including contract administration, claims evaluation, final accounts, and project close-out.
- Develop cost management teams, driving continuous improvement, stakeholder engagement, and sustainable outcomes aligned with net zero ambitions.
Qualifications and Professional Membership
- Degree in quantity surveying, cost management, or an equivalent qualification.
- MRICS/RICS (or equivalent) with a strong commitment to professional development.
Required Expertise and Understanding
- Expertise in cost management, contract administration, and commercial advisory.
- Strong understanding of sustainability, carbon reduction, and industry best practices.
Additional Requirements
- Ability to meet necessary visa criteria for the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia.
- Relevant work experience on high-value projects/programmes for a project management consultancy business, required for immigration and client approval.
