The Role: Senior Financial Data Analyst

Cenomi Retail is seeking a Senior Financial Data Analyst to join the team in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. This full-time role requires 5-10 years of experience and focuses on transforming complex business data into actionable insights for strategic decision-making within the fashion retail portfolio. The successful candidate will collaborate with Retail Operations, Commercial, Merchandise, Finance, and Executive Leadership teams to evaluate business performance, optimize store portfolios, assess investment opportunities, and support expansion initiatives.

Key Responsibilities

• Analyze sales, margins, profitability, and retail KPIs across all brands and stores, monitoring metrics such as sales per square meter, conversion rates, ATV, UPT, Gross Margin %, EBITDA contribution, inventory turnover, and sell-through rates.
• Identify trends, risks, and growth opportunities through advanced analytical techniques and conduct weekly, monthly, and quarterly performance reviews for management.
• Evaluate the performance of existing stores, identify underperforming locations, and recommend action plans for store closures, relocations, renovations, resizing, and format optimization.
• Develop store performance scorecards, benchmarking models, and analyze catchment areas, sales productivity, and profitability by location.
• Conduct financial modeling and business case evaluations, assessing ROI, payback periods, NPV, and IRR for retail investments.
• Support budgeting, forecasting, long-term financial planning, and evaluate capital expenditure requirements and profitability impact.
• Support feasibility studies for new store openings, develop sales and profitability forecasts for expansion projects, and prepare business cases for management approval.
• Develop and maintain executive dashboards and KPI reporting tools, prepare Board, CEO, and Management presentations, and provide actionable insights to senior leadership.
• Consolidate and analyze data from multiple systems including ERP, POS, Inventory Management, Finance Systems, and CRM Platforms.
• Build predictive and trend analysis models, ensuring data integrity, consistency, and reporting accuracy.

Required Qualifications and Experience

• 5-10 years of experience in financial analysis, business performance management, and data analysis, preferably within the fashion retail sector.
• Strong analytical and commercial mindset with the ability to transform complex data into actionable insights.
• Proficiency in financial modeling and business case evaluations.
• Experience with executive dashboard development and KPI reporting tools.
• Ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams including Retail Operations, Commercial, Merchandise, Finance, and Executive Leadership.

Success Measures

Success in this role will be measured by improvements in portfolio profitability, enhanced store productivity, increased reporting accuracy and automation, the quality and timeliness of management insights, and the successful evaluation and execution of expansion projects. Achievement of ROI targets on strategic investments and the identification of cost-saving and revenue-enhancing opportunities are also key indicators.
