The Project Context

This full-time position is based in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia, and involves working on one of the largest programs in the region. The project is a major mixed-use development, encompassing sports facilities, entertainment, and arts, along with all associated infrastructure. Mace serves as one of the delivery partners, requiring experienced professionals to lead integrated teams throughout the project phases.

Role Summary

Mace is seeking a Senior Geotechnical Manager to lead and manage geotechnical design resources across multiple projects within this significant program. This role involves overseeing the delivery of geotechnical design services, ensuring compliance, and driving continuous improvement in technical standards and processes.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and deliver annual business plan objectives within agreed deadlines and budget constraints.
• Lead and manage geotechnical design resources, overseeing the delivery of geotechnical design services across multiple projects.
• Present management review data and key performance indicators (KPIs) to project and functional leadership teams.
• Support business development, work-winning initiatives, and the delivery of training and capability development programs.
• Ensure compliance with management systems, project governance, and defined roles and responsibilities.
• Act as the primary focal point for geotechnical design matters, driving continuous improvement in delivery plans, technical standards, tools, and processes.
• Influence procurement strategies, contractual and legal matters, and promote technical excellence through effective stakeholder collaboration.
• Support net zero carbon objectives by proactively identifying, managing, and reducing carbon emissions while leveraging organizational knowledge and best practices.

Qualifications and Experience

• Degree qualified in Civil Engineering, Geotechnical Engineering, Engineering Geology, or a related discipline (or equivalent).
• Significant experience leading geotechnical design teams and delivering major infrastructure or building projects.
