The Role: Senior Manager Development Financial Planning and Analysis

The Senior Manager - FP&A (Development) will provide financial oversight and performance management for Qiddiya's extensive development portfolio. This full-time position, based in Riyadh, focuses on ensuring financial discipline, data integrity, and continuous process improvement across all development projects. The role involves close collaboration with various cross-functional teams and senior finance leadership.

Key Responsibilities

  • Support financial oversight of capital development projects, ensuring alignment with approved budgets, schedules, and scope.
  • Prepare and consolidate management packs, executive summaries, and budget submissions for review by the Senior Director.
  • Analyze financial performance, identify key variances, and provide structured insights with recommended actions.
  • Manage monthly reconciliation between project systems and accounting systems, ensuring data accuracy and timely issue resolution.
  • Review project schedule updates (Primavera P6) and assess the financial impact of risks, delays, and scope changes.
  • Develop and maintain financial models and scenario analyses to support forecasting and planning.
  • Standardize reporting templates, KPIs, dashboards, and action trackers across development projects.
  • Collaborate with Accounting, Treasury, Project Controls, and other FP&A teams to ensure process alignment and data consistency.
  • Contribute to automation and reporting enhancement initiatives within the Development FP&A function.
  • Support internal governance processes related to budget control, forecasting discipline, and financial transparency.
  • Provide guidance and coaching to analysts within the team, promoting accuracy, accountability, and continuous improvement.

This role primarily focuses on the financial monitoring of development projects, conducting thorough variance analysis, tracking financial risks, and preparing comprehensive management reports. A critical aspect involves ensuring seamless alignment between project controls and accounting systems to maintain data integrity and accuracy.

Required Experience and Qualifications

Candidates for this position should possess 5-10 years of relevant experience in financial planning and analysis, particularly within development or capital projects. The role requires a strong understanding of financial monitoring, reporting, and reconciliation processes, along with the ability to provide actionable insights to senior leadership.

Collaboration and Leadership

The Senior Manager will work closely with various internal departments, including Accounting, Treasury, and Project Controls, to foster process alignment and data consistency. This role also involves providing guidance and coaching to junior analysts, contributing to the overall development and effectiveness of the FP&A team.
