About the Role

Little Kitchen Help is partnering with a confidential government entity in Saudi Arabia to recruit a Senior Manager Health & Safety. This full-time leadership position is based in Riyadh and involves leading the development and execution of health and safety strategies across major national programmes and large-scale public operations.

The role focuses on establishing world-class health and safety governance for complex environments accommodating 100,000–150,000 visitors daily. The Senior Manager will provide strategic leadership from the planning and design phases through construction, live operations, and site demobilisation.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and implement the organisation's Health & Safety strategy, governance framework, and management systems.
• Lead health and safety planning across large-scale events, temporary venues, and complex operational environments.
• Ensure compliance with international best practices, including ISO 45001 principles and Saudi regulatory requirements.
• Oversee contractor safety, risk assessments, permit-to-work systems, and emergency preparedness.
• Manage high-risk activities such as temporary structures, lifting operations, electrical systems, work at height, fire safety, and workplace transport.
• Lead incident investigations, audits, inspections, and operational readiness reviews.
• Coordinate with government authorities, Civil Defence, medical teams, security, production, and venue management.
• Drive a strong safety culture through training, leadership engagement, and workforce development.
• Build and mentor an in-house Health & Safety function to support long-term organisational capability.

Candidate Profile and Essential Requirements

We are seeking an accomplished Health & Safety leader with proven experience managing safety across major public events, stadiums, international sporting events, festivals, construction projects, or other high-risk operational environments.

• Minimum 10 years' progressive Health & Safety leadership experience.
• Demonstrated responsibility for operations serving 100,000+ people per day.
• Extensive experience in risk management, contractor assurance, emergency response, and incident investigation.
• Strong knowledge of occupational safety, temporary structures, construction safety, and event operations.
• Recognised Health & Safety qualification (NEBOSH Diploma, Degree, or equivalent).
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
• Willingness to relocate to Riyadh, Saudi Arabia.

Preferred Experience

• Chartered IOSH, CSP, or similar professional accreditation.
• Major sporting events.
• International festivals and concerts.
• Stadium and arena operations.
• Mega infrastructure or construction projects.
• Government or public sector programmes.
• ISO 45001 implementation.
• GCC or Middle East experience (preferred but not essential).
