About the Opportunity

Team Saudi is seeking a Senior Manager Risk & Continuity to join its team in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. This full-time role is integral to enhancing organizational resilience and informed decision-making within SOPC.

Role Purpose

The Senior Manager Risk & Continuity will lead the development, implementation, and ongoing management of SOPC’s enterprise risk management and business continuity frameworks. This position oversees enterprise risk identification, assessment, and mitigation processes, as well as business continuity and crisis preparedness, acting as a key component of SOPC’s second line of defense.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop, implement, and maintain SOPC’s enterprise risk management framework, including risk taxonomy, assessment methodologies, risk appetite alignment, and escalation protocols.
  • Establish and maintain a comprehensive risk universe covering strategic, operational, financial, and emerging risks, ensuring consistent application of risk taxonomy and clear risk ownership.
  • Coordinate enterprise-wide risk identification and assessment exercises, ensuring risks are consistently captured, evaluated, and prioritized across SOPC functions.
  • Maintain SOPC’s enterprise risk register, ensuring timely updates, validation of risk ownership, and monitoring of mitigation actions.
  • Prepare consolidated risk reports and dashboards for SOPC leadership, highlighting key risk exposures, trends, and residual risks.
  • Monitor the effectiveness of risk mitigation actions and escalate material risks or emerging exposures in line with approved governance and escalation thresholds.
  • Support the integration of risk considerations into strategic planning, major initiatives, and operational decision-making processes.
  • Coordinate with Internal Audit to inform risk-based audit planning and provide updates on enterprise risk developments and residual risk profiles.
  • Lead the development and maintenance of SOPC’s business continuity management (BCM) framework, including business impact analyses (BIA), continuity strategies, and recovery plans.
  • Coordinate the design, testing, and periodic review of business continuity and crisis management plans across SOPC functions.
  • Plan and conduct scenario-based exercises and simulations to assess SOPC’s preparedness for disruptions and crisis situations.
  • Monitor and assess the effectiveness of business continuity and crisis response arrangements, identifying gaps and recommending enhancements.
  • Track continuity-related incidents and lessons learned to inform updates to risk and continuity frameworks.
  • Contribute to the ongoing maturity assessment and continuous improvement of SOPC’s enterprise risk and resilience capabilities.
  • Provide guidance and support to SOPC functions on risk management and continuity requirements, methodologies, and best practices.
  • Coordinate with Governance & Frameworks and Compliance & Regulatory Affairs to ensure alignment across GRC frameworks.
  • Promote risk awareness and resilience thinking across SOPC through structured engagement and guidance.

Required Experience

Candidates for this role should possess 5 to 10 years of relevant professional experience in risk management and business continuity.

Skills and Competencies

  • Strong understanding and practical experience in developing and implementing enterprise risk management (ERM) frameworks.
  • Proficiency in business continuity management (BCM) framework development, including business impact analyses (BIA), continuity strategies, and recovery plans.
  • Demonstrated ability to coordinate and conduct risk assessments, scenario-based exercises, and simulations.
  • Excellent analytical skills for monitoring risk mitigation, identifying gaps, and recommending enhancements.
  • Ability to provide expert guidance and support on risk management and continuity best practices.
  • Strong coordination and communication skills to align with internal audit, governance, and compliance functions.
