About the Senior Medical Advisor, Immuno-Oncology Role
Bristol Myers Squibb is seeking a Senior Medical Advisor Immuno-Oncology to join the Medical Affairs Team in Riyadh. This full-time position serves as a bridge between clinical research and the cross-functional Brand Team, focusing on the planning and execution of scientific projects related to medical communication and education. The role involves developing, maintaining, and sharing Immuno-Oncology-related medical and scientific capabilities.
External Engagement and Scientific Leadership
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with scientific experts, Thought Leaders, and external organizations in relevant therapeutic areas.
- Develop and present medically accurate content to Healthcare Professionals (HCPs), ensuring compliance with local procedures and ethical guidelines.
- Establish scientific collaborations with scientific experts and Thought Leaders.
- Profile the medical landscape and continuously update knowledge on products, patient treatment trends, unmet medical needs, clinical trials, and scientific activities.
- Collect and provide meaningful medical insights to the organization to support strategy development.
Medical Planning and Cross-Functional Collaboration
- Deliver scientifically meaningful medical program proposals and ensure the execution of medical activities such as Advisory Boards and scientific roundtables.
- Lead cross-functional collaboration within matrix teams to integrate medical perspectives and align focus with overall medical strategies and objectives.
- Provide knowledge and insight to local, regional, and worldwide Head Office medical teams, as well as the local commercial organization, to shape strategy.
- Coach colleagues on enhancing their scientific skills.
- Discuss and deliver Health Economics and Outcomes Research (HEOR) evidence-based information reactively to government agencies, healthcare organizations, and payers.
- Represent medical as a key reference point for internal stakeholders for Neuroscience.
Qualifications and Experience
- Advanced scientific degree (PharmD, PhD, MD).
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in a medical or scientific role.
- Expert knowledge of Immuno-Oncology.
- Expert experience within the Immuno-Oncology healthcare environment in KSA.
- Ability to communicate scientific or clinical data in an understandable and valuable manner to HCPs.
- Ability to develop and effectively manage new and existing HCP relationships.
- Experience in developing field medical plans aligned with medical and overall disease and product objectives.

- High level of scientific acumen, including the ability to interpret and present clinical data and draw clinical insights during dialogue with HCPs.
- Ability to translate clinical data into Medical strategies and objectives.
- Strong business acumen.
- Independence and initiative in developing scientific knowledge and building strong rapport with external and internal stakeholders.
- Demonstrated learning agility, applying lessons from unfamiliar experiences to new situations.

- Proficiency in planning and executing effective Learning Programs for HCPs.
- Experience in reviewing medical content of promotional and non-promotional materials.

- High level of integrity and good judgment to navigate the role effectively and compliantly.
- Strong communication and presentation skills.
