The company provides engineering, architecture, design, and consulting services, focusing on strong client relationships and an entrepreneurial culture. EXP Arabia is seeking a Senior Process Engineer, Mining to join its collaborative Mining team in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. This is a full-time position for professionals with 5-10 years of experience.

Role Overview

The Senior Process Engineer will work alongside multidisciplinary professionals to deliver practical and innovative solutions for complex mining projects. The role involves optimizing business cases for implementation through design flowsheets and contributing to various stages of metals projects, from feasibility studies to detailed design and commissioning.

Key Responsibilities

• Design flowsheets for unique ore or feedstock, optimizing the business case for implementation.
• Assist in feasibility studies and detailed design for metals projects.
• Prepare design calculations and documentation, and develop mass balance models using simulation software such as METSIM, SysCAD, and IDEAS.
• Provide process design requirements to designers.
• Prepare process equipment data sheets, including technical details and duties.
• Ensure process specifications accurately reflect appropriate information and design intent.
• Collaborate with the project team to prepare capital and operating cost estimates.
• Assist in plant commissioning.

Qualifications and Experience

• Bachelor’s or master’s degree in Chemical, Metallurgical, or Electrical Engineering from an accredited university.
• Minimum of 6 years of experience, with a preference for heavy industrial design and layout within an EPCM environment.
• Knowledgeable in the design of mining systems.
• Active membership in the Saudi Council of Engineers.
• Design experience, preferably within the consulting industry.
• Sound understanding of design principles, Saudi engineering codes, and technical standards.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Project), CAD, and BIM tools.
• Knowledge of mining-related processes.
• Mining and construction field experience is preferred.
