Senior Project Manager (Aircraft Hangar)

About the Role

WSP is seeking a Senior Project Manager (Aircraft Hangar) to lead a major Aircraft Hangar Development Project in Riyadh. This full-time role involves acting as the Project Management Consultant (PMC), overseeing the project from design through construction and handover. The position requires strong leadership and technical expertise to ensure project delivery meets safety, schedule, budget, and quality standards.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead and manage the PMC team throughout the project lifecycle.
• Lead proactive schedule management and critical path oversight using integrated project controls.
• Serve as the primary point of contact for clients, contractors, designers, and stakeholders.
• Oversee project planning, scheduling, budgeting, risk management, and resource allocation.
• Monitor contractor performance and ensure compliance with contractual obligations.
• Review and approve project execution plans, construction methodologies, and recovery plans.
• Ensure project delivery aligns with scope, schedule, budget, quality, and safety requirements.
• Manage design coordination activities and resolve technical and commercial issues.
• Lead progress review meetings and provide strategic direction to project teams.
• Identify project risks and implement effective mitigation measures.
• Review and monitor project KPIs, milestones, and overall performance.
• Ensure compliance with applicable aviation, building, and regulatory requirements.
• Oversee change management processes, variation reviews, and claims assessments.
• Lead stakeholder engagement activities and maintain client relationships.
• Ensure effective coordination between all disciplines, contractors, and specialist suppliers.
• Review and approve project reports, dashboards, and executive presentations.
• Support procurement, tender evaluations, and contractor selection processes as required.
• Promote a culture of safety, quality, collaboration, and continuous improvement.
• Manage successful project handover, close-out, and lessons learned processes.

Qualifications and Experience

• A minimum of 20 years of experience in project management.
• Demonstrated experience in leading major development projects, preferably within the aviation or large-scale infrastructure sector.
• Strong leadership and stakeholder management capabilities.
• Technical expertise relevant to aircraft hangar development or similar complex construction projects.
