The Role: Senior Projects Manager

We are seeking a Senior Projects Manager for a full-time position based in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. This role involves the overall planning, coordination, and control of fast-track fit-out projects from inception to completion. The Senior Projects Manager ensures projects are financially viable, completed on-time, within budget, and to the required quality standards for clients in sectors such as Hospitality, Hotels, High-End Residential, Palaces, F&B, Retail, Entertainment, Health, and Education.

Key Responsibilities

• Pre-Contract Activities: Develop and execute business development strategies, research and build client relationships, attend industry functions, and supervise the end-to-end tendering process.
• Project Planning: Identify stakeholders, plan communications, develop project management plans and schedules, define activities for all stakeholders, plan procurement, and identify and manage project risks.
• Project Execution and Management:
  • Specify project objectives and plans, including scope delineation, budgeting, scheduling, setting performance requirements, and selecting project sub-contractors.
  • Interface with the project team to share best practices and ensure effective resource (labour, materials, and equipment) utilization.
  • Implement various operations through proper coordination and control of planning, design, estimating, contracting, and construction.
  • Maintain accurate records as construction progresses and oversee construction sites, managing vendors and trades.
  • Analyze and share regular updates on site operations with relevant stakeholders, maintaining good communication with clients.
  • Direct and manage project execution, ensuring all works are properly monitored, coordinated, and controlled.
  • Acquire, develop, and manage the project team.
  • Conduct and administer procurement in line with the project schedule and distribute project information to relevant stakeholders.
  • Perform quality assurance and control throughout the life of the project.
  • Manage all local municipality and government approvals required for the operation and handover of the project.
  • Verify and control any changes in scope and costs, and control project invoicing and final accounting.
  • Monitor and control project risks.

Required Qualifications and Experience

• A minimum of 15 years of relevant work experience in an interior fit-out contracting company.
• Proven track record as a successful leader in project management within fit-out contracting businesses.
• Academic qualification, preferably a University Degree, in a technical discipline.
• Experience in managing a team.
• Demonstrated ability to effectively manage single or multiple projects from award through implementation to handover.
• Successful track record of working on diverse project types, including Hospitality, Hotels, High-End Residential, Palaces, F&B, Retail, Entertainment, Health, and Education.

Skills and Market Knowledge

• Very strong technical, execution, and commercial abilities with sound knowledge of the different trades involved in the fit-out contracting business.
• Very good knowledge of the KSA market, including the network of clients, sub-contractors, and suppliers (preferred).
• Excellent understanding of the latest developments in the fit-out market, current trends, and news, with the ability to suggest ideas to enhance the company's industry presence and brand.

Work Environment

While Havelock One Interiors' KSA office is located in Riyadh, projects are undertaken across the country. The ideal candidate must be flexible and adaptable to work on challenging projects throughout Saudi Arabia.
