Role Overview: Senior Specialist, Full Potential Identification

This full-time role for a Senior Specialist, Full Potential Identification is based in Riyadh. The position focuses on identifying, validating, and accelerating performance improvement opportunities to unlock operational value across Ma'aden’s assets. It supports business units in achieving their full potential through structured diagnostics, value-based prioritization, and data-driven performance optimization. The role combines operational expertise, analytical insight, and continuous improvement methodologies to enhance throughput, reliability, recovery, cost efficiency, energy performance, safety outcomes, and sustainability. The Senior Specialist ensures that improvement opportunities translate into measurable business impact and sustained value realization, while also strengthening organizational capability by fostering performance management discipline, accountability, and cross-functional collaboration.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead operational diagnostics to identify high-value opportunities across production, reliability, cost, recovery, energy, safety, and overall operational performance.
• Quantify improvement potential using data-driven analysis, benchmarking, and structured assessment methodologies.
• Develop robust value cases to support prioritization and informed decision-making.
• Drive measurable business outcomes through effective monitoring of improvement initiatives and value realization plans.
• Identify risks, performance gaps, and value leakage factors, implementing corrective actions to maximize benefits.
• Strengthen accountability for delivery through transparent performance tracking and reporting mechanisms.
• Leverage operational data, performance indicators, and analytical insights to identify bottlenecks and improvement opportunities.
• Translate operational challenges into practical process, technology, automation, and digital improvement initiatives.
• Improve decision quality through fact-based insights and performance intelligence.
• Facilitate collaboration between operations, maintenance, finance, technical, digital, and data teams to accelerate improvement outcomes.
• Coach teams on performance management, continuous improvement, root cause analysis, and value tracking practices.
• Build ownership and accountability to sustain improvements and replicate successful practices across assets.
• Maintain visibility of opportunity pipelines, implementation progress, realized value, risks, and lessons learned.
• Enhance methodologies, maturity assessment frameworks, KPI standards, and value realization processes.
• Strengthen governance mechanisms to improve consistency, transparency, and effectiveness of improvement initiatives.

Experience and Qualifications

• 6-8 years of relevant professional experience.
• Demonstrated ability to identify, quantify, and convert improvement opportunities into actionable initiatives.
• Experience in delivering measurable operational and financial value through approved initiatives.
• Proven track record of improving throughput, recovery, reliability, energy efficiency, and cost performance in operational settings.
• Capability to implement and sustain performance improvement programs, reducing benefit leakage.
• Experience in fostering stronger performance management and continuous improvement practices within site teams.
• Ability to embed data-driven decision-making into operational and improvement activities.

Work Type and Location

This is a full-time position located in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia.
