The Role: Senior Structural Design Manager

Jasara PMC is seeking a Senior Structural Design Manager to join its team in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. This full-time role involves leading and managing the structural design delivery for large-scale residential developments. The manager will ensure that designs meet project objectives, comply with regulatory requirements and quality standards, adhere to budget constraints, and align with construction timelines. The position requires overseeing consultants and coordinating multidisciplinary design teams to support the successful execution of residential communities.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead structural design development for residential projects from concept through detailed design and construction support.
• Manage and review the work of external design consultants and engineering partners.
• Ensure compliance with the Saudi Building Code, international design standards, and project-specific requirements.
• Coordinate structural design activities with architecture, MEP, infrastructure, and other disciplines.
• Review and approve structural calculations, drawings, specifications, and technical submissions.
• Identify design risks and implement mitigation measures to support project delivery.
• Monitor design progress against project schedules and budgets.
• Provide technical leadership and guidance to project teams and junior engineers.
• Support value engineering initiatives while maintaining quality, safety, and performance.
• Participate in design reviews, workshops, stakeholder meetings, and technical presentations.
• Provide construction-phase support, including RFI responses, design clarifications, and site issue resolution.

Qualifications and Experience

• A Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering is required; a Master's degree is preferred.
• Professional Engineering registration or chartership (*, PE, CEng, ICE, or equivalent) is preferred.
• A minimum of 10 years of experience in structural design and management.
• Experience with large-scale residential master-planned communities.
• Experience in mega and giga projects within Saudi Arabia or the GCC region.
• Prior design management experience within developer organizations.
• Experience interfacing with authorities and regulatory bodies.

Required Technical Skills

• Strong knowledge of structural design software such as ETABS, SAFE, SAP2000, STAAD Pro, and similar tools.
• Thorough understanding of Saudi and international design codes and standards.
• Proven experience managing multidisciplinary design coordination.
• Excellent stakeholder management and consultant management skills.
• Strong commercial awareness and value engineering experience.
