Senior Virtualization Engineer (L /L )

About the Role

Specialized Enterprise Systems (SES) is seeking a Senior Virtualization Engineer (L2/L3) to join a client site in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. This full-time role focuses on the administration, support, optimization, and troubleshooting of enterprise virtualization platforms within a mission-critical data center environment. The position provides advanced Level 2 and Level 3 technical support for virtual infrastructure, ensuring high availability, performance, security, and scalability of virtualized workloads.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage, administer, and maintain enterprise virtualization platforms, including VMware vSphere, Microsoft Hyper-V, Nutanix AHV, and related infrastructure technologies.
• Provide Level 2 and Level 3 support for virtual servers, clusters, hypervisors, virtual storage, and virtual networking environments.
• Monitor virtualization infrastructure performance, availability, capacity, and resource utilization to ensure optimal operation.
• Perform advanced troubleshooting and root cause analysis for virtualization-related incidents, outages, and performance issues.
• Manage and maintain high-availability and fault-tolerant configurations to support business-critical applications and services.
• Plan and execute virtual machine provisioning, migrations, upgrades, patching, and decommissioning activities.
• Administer virtualization management tools, including vCenter Server, System Center Virtual Machine Manager (SCVMM), and associated monitoring solutions.

Required Experience and Qualifications

Candidates should possess 5-10 years of relevant experience in virtualization engineering and support. Strong technical proficiency in managing complex virtual environments is essential for this role.

Work Environment and Logistics

• The role requires willingness to relocate to the client site in Saudi Arabia within two months of hire.
• Standard shifts apply, with participation in a 24x7 on-call rotation.
