Johnson Controls Arabia is seeking a dedicated Service Technician to join its team in Riyadh. This full-time position is integral to maintaining the operational efficiency of system field devices through expert installation, commissioning, and support services.

Role Overview

The Service Technician is responsible for the installation and commissioning of system field devices, troubleshooting issues, and responding to warranty calls. A key aspect of this role involves maintaining consistent communication with both internal teams and external stakeholders regarding job progress and any emerging concerns.

Key Responsibilities

• Install basic required system field devices and perform commissioning using standard configuration and commissioning tools.
• Troubleshoot and resolve technical problems efficiently.
• Respond to basic warranty calls as needed.
• Keep Johnson Controls (JCI), contractors, and customers informed of job progress and any emerging issues.
• Deliver output according to specific operational targets.
• Explain facts, practices, and policies to both internal and external parties.
• Correct or resolve issues and problems within existing systems and processes, making minor changes as required.

Role Context and Scope

This is an individual contributor position with no direct responsibility for leading others. The problems and issues encountered typically fall within a single job area or discipline with a well-defined scope, though occasionally, problems may be vaguely defined, requiring consideration of other job areas. The role primarily utilizes specialized knowledge of specific commercial, technical, trades, or office operations, rather than broad theoretical principles. The application of knowledge is focused domestically, limited to locations within the country or neighboring countries with similar cultural contexts.

Qualifications and Experience

• A minimum of 4 years of experience in a service technician role or a related technical field.
• Proven ability to install, commission, and troubleshoot system field devices.
• Strong problem-solving skills for resolving technical issues and making minor system changes.
• Effective communication skills for stakeholder updates and policy explanations.
• Ability to work independently and manage tasks to operational targets.
