Site Engineer Electrical (Substation)

Position Overview

Larsen & Toubro is seeking a dedicated Site Engineer Electrical (Substation) to join our team in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. This full-time role involves the supervision and coordination of electrical installation activities for critical 380kV Substation projects, ensuring adherence to stringent industry standards and project specifications.

Role Purpose

The primary purpose of this role is to oversee all aspects of electrical installations within substation projects. The Site Engineer will be responsible for ensuring that all construction and installation activities strictly comply with SEC standards, approved IFC drawings, quality requirements, established safety regulations, and the overall project schedule.

Key Responsibilities

• Supervise the installation of Gas Insulated Switchgear (GIS) equipment, power transformers, switchgear, control and protection systems, and all associated cable works.
• Ensure that all construction activities meet SEC specifications, approved IFC drawings, and specific project requirements.
• Coordinate effectively with various project teams, including construction, Quality Assurance/Quality Control (QA/QC), Health, Safety, and Environment (HSE), testing, and commissioning.
• Monitor site progress, maintain quality standards, and optimize productivity to successfully achieve project milestones.
• Prepare comprehensive site reports, conduct inspections, and maintain accurate work completion records.
• Provide essential support during testing, commissioning, energization, and project handover activities.

Qualifications and Experience

Candidates for this full-time position should possess 5-10 years of relevant experience in electrical engineering, particularly within substation projects.

• Experience in SEC projects is preferred.
• Demonstrated strong knowledge of substation construction, installation, testing, and commissioning activities.
• Familiarity with SEC standards, safety regulations, and quality requirements pertinent to substation projects.
