The company offers a diverse range of over 22,000 products, including tiles, wallpapers, lighting solutions, and kitchen fixtures. With a significant presence in Kuwait and Saudi Arabia, ABYAT is expanding its operations into Qatar and the UAE.

The Role: Site Project Engineer

ABYAT is seeking a Site Project Engineer to join its team in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. This full-time role involves the day-to-day execution and supervision of interior fit-out works, ensuring projects are delivered according to approved drawings, specifications, quality standards, timelines, and safety requirements. The engineer will coordinate site teams, subcontractors, suppliers, MEP works, and finishing activities through to snagging and final handover.

Key Responsibilities

  • Supervise daily fit-out activities, ensuring execution aligns with approved drawings and specifications.
  • Manage the sequencing of fit-out activities to maintain smooth site progress.
  • Oversee interior finishing works, including flooring, tiling, ceilings, partitions, painting, joinery, kitchens, bathrooms, and doors.
  • Verify site measurements and conditions prior to fabrication and installation.
  • Identify site execution issues and coordinate timely corrective actions.
  • Review architectural, interior design, shop, and coordination drawings before execution.
  • Coordinate with designers, consultants, Project Managers, and technical teams regarding drawing discrepancies.
  • Coordinate fit-out works with electrical, plumbing, HVAC, and fire-fighting services, identifying potential clashes.
  • Supervise subcontractors, technicians, and site workers, monitoring performance and compliance.
  • Coordinate material requirements, inspect delivered materials for compliance, and ensure proper storage.
  • Conduct regular inspections of ongoing and completed fit-out works to ensure quality standards are met.
  • Monitor daily and weekly site progress, prepare reports, and highlight potential delays or risks.
  • Conduct pre-handover inspections, prepare snagging lists, and ensure rectification of outstanding works.
  • Ensure all site activities comply with company HSE procedures and project safety requirements.

Qualifications and Experience

  • Bachelor's degree or diploma in Civil Engineering, Architecture, Interior Architecture, or a related field.
  • 2-5 years of experience in interior fit-out and site execution.
  • Experience in residential, retail, commercial, hospitality, or high-end interior projects.
  • Strong knowledge of finishing works, materials, installation methods, and construction sequencing.
  • Good understanding of architectural, shop, and MEP drawings.
