WSP Middle East is seeking an Interior Designer Engineer to join its supervision team in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. This full-time role involves contributing to landmark projects and collaborating with professionals in the field.

The Role of Interior Designer Engineer

The Interior Designer Engineer will oversee the execution of interior design and fit-out works on site. This includes ensuring compliance with approved drawings, specifications, project requirements, quality standards, and health and safety regulations. The position requires a strong technical background in interior design, site supervision expertise, and effective coordination skills with various project stakeholders to deliver high-quality interior environments.

Key Responsibilities

• Supervise interior design and fit-out works during construction to ensure compliance with approved designs, specifications, and contract requirements.
• Conduct regular site inspections and monitor workmanship, materials, and construction activities.
• Review shop drawings, material submittals, mock-ups, and samples for compliance with project requirements.
• Coordinate with architects, MEP engineers, structural engineers, contractors, and other stakeholders to resolve design and construction-related issues.
• Monitor project progress and provide technical support to the Resident Engineer and supervision team.
• Ensure all interior finishing works meet quality standards and client expectations.
• Identify and report non-conformances and support the implementation of corrective actions.
• Attend site meetings and provide updates on interior works progress, quality, and potential risks.
• Verify completed works and participate in snagging, testing, commissioning, and handover activities.
• Ensure compliance with local authority regulations, safety requirements, and project procedures.
• Review contractor method statements and construction methodologies related to interior works.
• Support project close-out activities, including final inspections and documentation reviews.

Qualifications and Experience

• A strong technical background in interior design.
• Demonstrated expertise in site supervision.
• Experience ranging from 5 to 10 years in a relevant field.

Work Environment

This is a full-time position based in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia, within a multidisciplinary project team environment.
