About WSP and the Role

WSP is seeking an experienced Interior Designer - Saudi National to join a major Supervision Project in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. This full-time role involves overseeing the design implementation process for interior fit-out works, ensuring adherence to approved design specifications, quality standards, project requirements, and client expectations.

Role Context and Impact

The successful candidate will play a key role in managing interior design works across all project phases. This position requires close collaboration with various design disciplines to resolve issues and ensure seamless project execution, contributing significantly to the overall quality and success of large-scale developments within Saudi Arabia.

Key Responsibilities

• Supervise interior design (ID) works and manage a dedicated team throughout all project phases.
• Collaborate with architects and other design disciplines (*, lighting, MEP final fix) to resolve design or construction-related issues.
• Provide expert input on material and finish selections, balancing client preferences with architectural and project requirements.
• Contribute to and approve construction ID details, ensuring alignment with the overall design vision.
• Manage and review construction documentation, including shop drawings, material submittals, and method statements, to ensure design intent and modifications are reflected and to highlight discrepancies.
• Maintain accurate as-built drawings for project records.

Qualifications and Experience

• A minimum of 12 years of professional experience in interior design is required, with a strong background in construction supervision, site coordination, design management, and quality assurance.
• Experience should span large-scale commercial, hospitality, residential, mixed-use, or infrastructure developments.
• Experience working on projects within Saudi Arabia and familiarity with local regulations, standards, and industry best practices is highly advantageous.
