Software Engineer Full Stack

About the Role

Moyasar Financial Company is seeking a Software Engineer - Full Stack to join its Engineering team in Riyadh Province. This full-time role involves contributing to the development and improvement of Moyasar's payment products and systems. The position requires 2-5 years of experience in software engineering.

Role Overview

The Software Engineer will work across the full application stack, utilizing Ruby on Rails as the core framework. Responsibilities include developing backend services, APIs, web applications, and user-facing features. The ideal candidate is a hands-on engineer focused on problem-solving, writing maintainable code, and collaborating with cross-functional teams to deliver high-quality features.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, develop, test, and maintain full-stack applications and features across Moyasar’s products.
• Build and maintain backend services and APIs using Ruby on Rails.
• Develop and improve frontend features and user-facing web applications.
• Design, build, maintain, and integrate RESTful APIs.
• Work with PostgreSQL to design data models and write efficient database queries.
• Utilize Redis and Sidekiq for caching, background processing, and asynchronous jobs.
• Write clean, efficient, maintainable, and well-documented code.
• Write and maintain automated tests, including unit and integration tests.
• Participate actively in code reviews and technical discussions.
• Troubleshoot and resolve bugs, application issues, and performance problems.
• Contribute to improving application performance, reliability, scalability, and security.
• Collaborate with Product, Design, and other engineers to understand requirements and deliver new features.
• Participate in technical planning, estimation, and Agile development processes.
• Document technical processes, system changes, and important development decisions.
• Contribute to continuous improvement of engineering standards and development practices.
• Stay current with relevant technologies and software engineering practices.

Required Experience and Technologies

• 2-5 years of experience in a software engineering role.
• Proficiency with Ruby on Rails as a core framework.
• Experience with PostgreSQL for database design and querying.
• Familiarity with Redis and Sidekiq for caching and background processing.

Work Environment

This is a full-time position based in Riyadh, within the Moyasar Engineering team. The role involves collaboration with other engineers, Product, and Design teams.
