About the Role

Alfanar Projects is seeking a SR. Business Planning Engineer to join their team in Riyadh. This full-time role is responsible for the establishment, development, alignment, and execution of annual business plans for the respective unit. The position involves managing committees, facilitating meetings, and tracking performance through dashboards and reporting to ensure successful business outcomes.

Key Responsibilities

  • Coordinate annual business planning activities to ensure alignment with technical and operational objectives.
  • Translate business goals into detailed, actionable initiatives with defined priorities, responsibilities, and timelines.
  • Support the review of sales, resource, and financial budgets for consistency with overall business plans through data analysis.
  • Prepare materials for business plan sessions and ensure alignment across technical and non-technical areas.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to set and monitor performance indicators, tracking progress against targets.
  • Monitor and report on annual plan timelines, milestones, and accuracy, flagging any deviations.
  • Identify potential issues, provide solutions, and mitigate risks to ensure plan success.
  • Activate committee structures and charters, ensuring proper governance of cross-functional teams.
  • Manage committee meetings, including agenda preparation, scheduling, and minute recording.
  • Track action items from meetings, ensuring timely execution and reporting on pending or overdue actions.

Reporting and Monitoring

  • Develop and maintain dashboards to visualize the progress of business plans, initiatives, and KPIs.
  • Analyze key performance metrics and trends, providing actionable insights and recommendations for senior leadership.
  • Provide technical tools, dashboards, and reports to committees to monitor strategic and operational activities.
  • Ensure proper management, secure archiving, and compliance of all performance reports, meeting minutes, and related documentation.
  • Ensure proper archiving and confidentiality of all business planning documentation (digital and physical) while reviewing and enhancing business planning systems and tools.

Role Accountabilities

  • HR Proficiency: Obtain updated soft and technical skills relevant to the job.
  • Delivery: Perform planned activities to meet operational and development targets as per schedules, utilizing resources effectively. Provide periodic reports detailing deviations and execution of planned tasks.
  • Problem-Solving: Solve related problems that arise and escalate complex operational issues.
  • Quality: Ensure quality requirements to develop effective quality control and processes.
  • Business Process Improvements: Coordinate well-defined written systems, policies, procedures, and seek automation opportunities.
  • Compliance: Comply with related policies, procedures, and work instructions.
  • Health, Safety, and Environment: Ensure compliance with relevant safety, quality, and environmental management procedures.

Qualifications and Experience

  • A minimum of 5 to 10 years of relevant experience is required for this role.
