About the Role

Alfanar is seeking a SR. Engineer Planning for its Building Systems division. This full-time position is based in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. The role focuses on developing, maintaining, and optimizing complex project schedules and plans to ensure timely and efficient project delivery.

Role Purpose and Responsibilities

The Sr. Engineer Planning will lead collaboration with project teams to define scope, accurately estimate timelines, and strategically allocate resources. This role involves proactively monitoring progress, identifying potential risks, facilitating effective communication between stakeholders, and providing strategic insights to enhance decision-making and elevate overall project performance.

• Develop and obtain approval for the baseline program using Primavera P6, including WBS, activity coding, logic, calendars, and resource and cost loading.
• Lead site planning activities, including weekly three-week look-ahead schedules, monthly updates, recovery and acceleration programs, and subcontractor coordination.
• Monitor and validate project progress against approved measurement methodologies, preparing S-curves, SPI/CPI reports, manpower histograms, and productivity reports.
• Prepare monthly progress reports and client/consultant reporting packages, and present progress updates in project meetings.
• Support the commercial team with progress data for interim payment applications and variation pricing.
• Manage project delays, maintain the delay register, prepare Time Impact Analyses (TIA), and develop supporting documentation for Extension of Time (EOT) claims and disruption notices.
• Develop and monitor procurement, submittal, shop drawing, and material delivery schedules in line with the construction program.
• Provide project planning data for corporate PMO dashboards and ensure compliance with ABS planning standards and reporting deadlines.

Qualifications and Experience

Candidates should possess 5-10 years of relevant experience in planning roles, particularly with expertise in Primavera P6 and project scheduling.
