The Role of a Senior Merchandiser

PepsiCo is seeking a Sr. Merchandiser to join the team in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. This full-time role is responsible for maximizing on-shelf product presence, ensuring full adherence to planograms, and executing all in-store activities according to company standards. The position requires proactive management of activities through the PACE system, maintaining data accuracy, and achieving defined performance KPIs, contributing directly to sales opportunities and market presence.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct daily visits to specific Traditional Trade (TT) outlets as per the journey plan provided by the supervisor.
• Merchandise SSFL products across various access points within TT stores, including shelves, stands, and floor displays.
• Place Point of Sale (POS) material next to SSFL displays where applicable.
• Ensure all access points are merchandised in accordance with approved planograms.
• Rotate product using the First-In, First-Out (FIFO) method and remove sub-standard products.
• Maintain clean and fresh stock of SSF products on the shelf at all times.
• Monitor and report competitive activities and any deviations from agreed terms with assigned customers or outlets.
• Report daily activities of the prior day to the supervisor.
• Participate in sampling and redemption campaigns when required.
• Maintain appropriate personal appearance and professional behavior in line with the Frito Lay code of conduct.
• Monitor market developments, define marketing objectives and sales methods, and estimate expected sales volume for designated stores.
• Oversee the implementation of sales Go-To-Market (GTM) strategies, sales methods, and the execution of promotional programs.
• Prepare specialized sales-related reports, provide appropriate recommendations, and store them in the designated database according to approved policies and procedures.

System and Data Compliance

• Execute all visits through the PACE Merchandising System.
• Adhere strictly to the assigned journey plan.
• Ensure 100% accuracy of data, including photos, counts, and timestamps.
• Avoid manual or offline reporting, utilizing the PACE system exclusively.
• Close action items raised within the system promptly.
