About the Role

AWS EMEA SARL (Saudi Arabia Branch) is seeking a Sr Mgr, Solutions Architecture, MENAT AGS SA to join its team in Riyadh. This full-time role involves partnering with customers, AWS Sales, and other AWS teams to develop scalable, flexible, and resilient cloud architectures. The position requires 5-10 years of experience and focuses on addressing customer business problems and accelerating the adoption of AWS services.

Role Context and Impact

The Sr. Manager, Solutions Architect will contribute to revenue growth across various industries by acting as a trusted customer advocate. This involves guiding organizations on best practices for advanced cloud-based solutions and helping to shape and execute strategies that broaden the use of the AWS platform. The role requires strategic thinking regarding business, products, and technical challenges, and is supported by a comprehensive learning program within the AWS Solutions Architecture team.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead the Solutions Architecture team and serve as a key member of the business development team.
• Recruit, enable, and develop a team of solutions architects.
• Build relationships with customers to become a trusted advisor for critical workloads supporting digital transformation and cloud migration.
• Support the achievement of revenue objectives through the adoption and migration of applications, software, and services onto the AWS platform, in collaboration with the sales team.
• Educate customers on the AWS value proposition and participate in architectural discussions to ensure successful cloud deployments.
• Contribute to AWS internal and customer-facing publications such as white-papers and blogs.
• Act as a liaison between customers, service engineering teams, and support to address customer needs.

Daily Activities

A typical day involves reviewing customer architectures with team members, participating in pipeline reviews with sales counterparts, and evaluating reference architectures. The role also includes identifying field patterns for AWS service teams to inform future releases and conducting candidate interviews. This position leads a team of Solutions Architects serving Saudi customers, addressing needs from initial cloud migrations to AI-powered architectures, with a focus on enabling customers to move quickly and confidently with business impact.
