Role Overview

Daikin Saudi is seeking a Sr. Project Execution Engineer (HVAC Projects) to be based in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. This full-time role is responsible for the end-to-end delivery of HVAC projects across the Central & Eastern Region of KSA, encompassing chiller replacements, retrofit works, VRV system supply and installation, and full turnkey solutions. The position manages the entire project lifecycle from sales handover through planning, execution, monitoring, control, documentation, financial governance, commissioning, and close-out, ensuring projects are delivered on time, within budget, compliant with contractual obligations, and aligned with quality and HSE standards.

Project Initiation and Planning

The Senior Project Execution Engineer leads the initial phases of project delivery, ensuring a solid foundation for successful execution. Key responsibilities include:

• Validating project scope, specifications, commercial terms, and contractual obligations received from the Sales team.
• Identifying key risks, assumptions, constraints, and developing mitigation strategies at the project outset.
• Leading internal and external project kick-off meetings to ensure alignment among all stakeholders.
• Establishing clear project objectives, success criteria, and communication protocols.
• Developing and managing integrated project execution plans covering schedule, resources, procurement, cash flow, and cost baselines.
• Coordinating with engineering, design, procurement, and logistics teams to ensure full project readiness and alignment.

Execution and Monitoring

This role involves active management of project execution, ensuring adherence to plans and standards, and proactive issue resolution:

• Preparing and submitting project-specific technical submittals, method statements, and compliance documentation.
• Leading site execution of HVAC projects, including chillers, VRV systems, retrofits, and turnkey solutions.
• Managing subcontractors and ensuring their adherence to scope, quality, and timelines.
• Ensuring strict compliance with HSE standards throughout project execution.
• Maintaining proactive coordination with clients, consultants, and stakeholders to resolve issues and prevent delays.
• Tracking progress against baseline schedules and key milestones.
• Monitoring cost performance, variations, and change orders.
• Issuing accurate and timely progress reports, dashboards, and forecasts.
• Identifying deviations early and implementing corrective and preventive actions.

Financial Management and Control

The Senior Project Execution Engineer holds direct responsibility for the financial performance of projects:

• Owning project financial performance, including budgeting, forecasting, cost control, and margin protection.
• Managing payments, variations, and claims to ensure alignment with contractual and profitability targets.

Project Closure and Review

Ensuring successful project completion, handover, and continuous improvement are critical aspects of this role:

• Overseeing testing and commissioning of HVAC systems, including chillers and VRV systems.
• Ensuring systems meet design intent, operational performance, and client requirements.
• Leading final inspections, snag closure, and stakeholder approvals.
• Ensuring complete and accurate handover documentation (as-built drawings, O&M manuals, warranties).
• Securing formal client acceptance and project closure.
• Conducting structured project close-out reviews focusing on performance, risks, and financial outcomes.
• Capturing lessons learned and institutionalizing best practices.
• Supporting service teams during the defect liability period (DLP).
• Strengthening client relationships to enable repeat business and long-term partnerships.

Required Experience

Candidates for this full-time position should possess 5-10 years of relevant experience in project execution, specifically within HVAC projects. The role is based in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia, and requires a professional committed to driving operational excellence and ensuring profitable, on-time project delivery.
