About the Role

Alfanar is seeking a Sr. Architect Software Solutions SAS for a full-time position based in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. This role is responsible for designing and delivering integrated industrial automation and enterprise software solutions. The primary objective is to bridge operational technology (OT) and information technology (IT) to establish scalable, reliable, and secure digital architectures. The architect will ensure solutions meet customer requirements and enhance operational efficiency, asset performance, and business outcomes across utilities, energy, water, infrastructure, and industrial sectors.

Key Responsibilities

• Analyze customer business and technical requirements to design end-to-end automation and digital architectures, integrating OT and IT systems.
• Develop solution blueprints, system architectures, functional specifications, and technical documentation, including defining cybersecurity, networking, cloud, and on-premises deployment architectures.
• Configure, customize, and deploy software applications, and develop use cases, workflows, dashboards, reports, and business processes.
• Perform software testing, validation, commissioning, and troubleshooting.
• Integrate various enterprise software platforms such as SCADA, DMS/ADMS, EMS, APM, EAM, GIS, IoT, ERP, CMMS, cloud, and analytics platforms.
• Conduct workshops, demonstrations, Proofs of Concept (POCs), and technical presentations, and support proposal preparation and bid responses.
• Design solutions for predictive maintenance, AI, machine learning, analytics, and digital twin applications.
• Support Factory Acceptance Testing (FAT), Site Acceptance Testing (SAT), deployment, training, and customer acceptance activities.

Leadership and Operational Accountabilities

Beyond technical duties, this role also encompasses broader operational and leadership responsibilities:

• Recruit, recognize, and cultivate high performers to foster a robust second line of management, and guide or manage low performers as needed.
• Ensure equitable treatment of subordinates, with performance-based assessments tied to planned results.
• Take full responsibility for operations and deliverables, proactively anticipating problems, and making timely decisions.
• Deliver required results with quality and cost efficiency, aiming to exceed business expectations.
• Translate corporate goals into business plans, monitor plan performance, and initiate corrective actions.
• Monitor and control budgets and expenses for optimum cost efficiency, and provide periodic work progress reports.
• Develop organizational structures according to current and future requirements, ensuring job descriptions are available and deployed.
• Develop and coordinate well-defined written systems, policies, and procedures, seeking automation opportunities and promoting the full use of automated systems.

Experience Requirements

• Candidates should possess a minimum of 5 to 10 years of relevant professional experience.
