About the Role

Lucid Motors is seeking a Sr. Service Technician to join our team in Riyadh. This full-time position requires a minimum of 10 years of automotive service experience. As a Sr. Service Technician, you will be instrumental in diagnosing, troubleshooting, and repairing complex vehicle issues, ensuring the highest standards of safety, quality, and customer satisfaction. You will serve as a technical expert within the workshop, providing guidance to other technicians and supporting escalated repairs.

Key Responsibilities

  • Perform advanced diagnostics, troubleshooting, and repair of complex electrical, mechanical, and vehicle control systems.
  • Lead the resolution of intricate and recurring repair concerns.
  • Conduct thorough inspections to identify root causes of vehicle issues using specialized diagnostic tools and equipment.
  • Execute repairs in strict accordance with manufacturer standards and established workshop procedures.
  • Support and perform vehicle software updates, calibrations, and verification processes.
  • Ensure all repairs are completed within targeted turnaround times while maintaining stringent quality standards.
  • Provide technical guidance, coaching, and hands-on training to Service Technicians.
  • Act as a technical escalation point for workshop management and support critical repair activities.
  • Ensure strict compliance with all safety requirements, workshop procedures, and quality standards.
  • Conduct root cause analysis for technical issues and implement corrective and preventive actions.
  • Maintain accurate and detailed service documentation and repair records.
  • Collaborate with service advisors and management to provide technical explanations to customers when necessary.
  • Work closely with engineering, field service, and technical support teams on complex cases.
  • Participate actively in technical meetings, training sessions, and service campaigns.

Qualifications and Requirements

  • Diploma or Associate Degree in Automotive Technology, Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 10 years of progressive automotive service experience.
  • Proven experience in handling advanced diagnostics and complex repair activities.
  • Experience mentoring and guiding junior technicians.
  • Advanced knowledge of automotive electrical, electronic, and mechanical systems.
  • Proficiency with diagnostic software and specialized automotive service tools.
  • Ability to interpret technical manuals, wiring diagrams, and repair procedures accurately.
  • Strong troubleshooting and root-cause analysis skills.
  • Manufacturer certifications and EV certifications are preferred.
