The Role: Staff Full-Stack Software Engineer, Forward Deployed, GPS

Scale AI is seeking a Staff Full-Stack Software Engineer for a Forward Deployed role within its Government & Public Sector (GPS) team in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. This full-time position requires over 10 years of experience. The engineer will collaborate directly with public sector counterparts to develop full-stack AI applications that address pressing challenges and deliver meaningful impact for citizens.

Key Responsibilities

• Serve as the lead technical strategist for public sector engagements, translating mission requirements into architectural roadmaps and guiding onsite implementation.
• Architect fundamental frameworks for production-grade AI applications, ensuring the integration of interactive UIs, backend systems, and AI models for reliable outcomes.
• Guide the evolution of cloud infrastructure, focusing on security, global scalability, and long-term system integrity across all environments.
• Direct the development of core platforms and shared services to address cross-cutting needs for diverse global client use cases.
• Partner with cross-functional leadership to steer the technical roadmap, mentor staff, and ensure product alignment with a cohesive technical architecture.
• Bridge the gap between field insights and the core platform by converting client lessons into reusable patterns for the engineering team.

Qualifications and Experience

• Over 10 years of experience in software engineering, with a focus on full-stack development.
• Demonstrated ability to architect and build production-grade AI applications.
• Experience with cloud infrastructure, security, and scalable system design.
• Proficiency in integrating interactive UIs, backend systems, and AI models.
• Experience in technical leadership and mentoring.
