staff Nurse (Radiology)

About the Role

National Medical Care is seeking a Staff Nurse (Radiology) to join their team in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. This full-time position is responsible for providing nursing care activities and coordinating care planning with other disciplines, utilizing the nursing process to deliver quality nursing care in adherence to hospital policies, MOH regulations, and accreditation standards. The role requires 0-1 years of experience.

Key Responsibilities

• Ensure high-quality medical treatment, compassion, and understanding for every patient.
• Perform patient care assignments and delegated work, including medication preparation, supply management, crash cart checking, and equipment maintenance.
• Be available to report for duty as scheduled and float to other units based on the unit’s Cross-trained List.
• Receive and give shift endorsements to ensure continuity of care.
• Follow Nursing Standards of Practice and the Nursing Process (assessment, diagnosis, planning, implementation, and evaluation) for quality patient care and documentation.
• Conduct comprehensive nursing assessments, including vital signs, physical assessments, risk assessments (fall, pressure ulcer, VTE), height/weight measurement, and review of diagnostic results.
• Facilitate patient admissions, referrals, consultations, treatment procedures, transfers, and discharges.
• Provide and care for patients requiring arterial and intravenous therapy.
• Initiate and respond effectively to emergency situations in accordance with BLS guidelines.
• Administer medications, blood and blood products, and feedings as ordered by the attending physician.
• Perform and assist in unit invasive procedures as needed.
• Ensure standard precautions and prevention activities for patients at risk for falls, pressure ulcers, and infection.
• Document nursing care services, ensuring notes are informative and descriptive of care provided and patient responses.
• Evaluate and reassess patients based on hospital policy and doctor’s orders.
• Maintain effective communication with the healthcare team and report significant changes in patient conditions or abnormal POCT results immediately.
• Monitor and guide non-nursing staff to ensure patient and environmental safety.
• Communicate and provide patient and family education related to nursing care management.
• Assist in maintaining approved floor stock levels of medications, medical equipment, supplies, and linens.
• Ensure optimum utilization of resources and follow safety regulations for medications, equipment, and supplies.
• Follow established infection control procedures and report any concerns.
• Implement and maintain procedures for reporting hazardous conditions or equipment.
• Participate in fire safety and disaster preparedness drills.

Qualifications and Experience

• 0-1 years of nursing experience.
• Proficiency in applying the nursing process (assessment, diagnosis, planning, implementation, and evaluation).
• Knowledge of MOH regulations and accreditation standards.
• Ability to perform physical assessments and assess patient risks.
• Competence in medication administration and invasive procedures.
• BLS certification is required.

Work Environment

The Staff Nurse (Radiology) will work in a hospital setting, ensuring nursing service work areas, patient care rooms, and treatment rooms are maintained in a clean, safe, and sanitary manner. The role involves collaboration with other disciplines and adherence to established hospital policies and procedures.
