About the Opportunity

AECOM is seeking a Steel Structure Engineer to join our engineering team in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. This full-time role requires 5-10 years of experience and involves designing, analyzing, and overseeing the construction of steel structures for various projects.

Role Overview

The successful candidate will contribute to commercial, industrial, and infrastructure projects, working collaboratively with architects, contractors, and project managers. This position focuses on delivering high-quality structural solutions that adhere to all safety and regulatory standards.

Key Responsibilities

  • Design and analyze steel structures using advanced CAD and structural analysis software, ensuring compliance with applicable building codes and standards.
  • Prepare detailed technical drawings, specifications, and construction documents for steel fabrication and installation.
  • Conduct structural calculations and finite element analysis to optimize design efficiency and safety.
  • Collaborate with project teams to develop cost-effective solutions and manage project timelines effectively.
  • Review fabrication drawings and shop drawings submitted by contractors to ensure quality and adherence to design specifications.
  • Perform site inspections and quality assurance checks during steel structure fabrication and installation phases.
  • Identify and resolve structural design challenges through analytical problem-solving and innovative engineering approaches.
  • Maintain organized project documentation and ensure clear communication with all stakeholders.
  • Stay current with industry standards, building codes, and best practices in steel structure engineering.
  • Support the preparation of technical reports and project proposals as needed.
