The Role: Supply Chain Manager
Bin Omairah Company is seeking a Supply Chain Manager to lead and oversee all supply chain activities. This full-time senior management position is based in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia, and requires over 10 years of experience within the EPC, Construction, or Infrastructure industries. The role is critical for ensuring the timely availability of materials, equipment, and services in line with project requirements, while safeguarding company assets and optimizing inventory levels.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and implement comprehensive supply chain strategies covering procurement, purchasing, logistics, warehousing, and inventory management.
- Lead the sourcing, selection, evaluation, and management of suppliers and subcontractors to ensure optimal quality, cost, reliability, and timely delivery.
- Coordinate with internal teams including Engineering, Planning, Contracts, Finance, Quality, Logistics, and Project teams to align materials and services with project requirements and schedules.
- Monitor supplier and subcontractor performance, ensuring compliance with agreed quality, delivery, commercial, and contractual terms.
- Cultivate strong relationships with strategic suppliers, manufacturers, subcontractors, and logistics providers.
- Oversee material planning, purchasing, delivery, mobilization, and demobilization activities across all projects.
- Ensure effective warehouse management, including proper storage, handling, security, preservation, and tracking of materials and assets.
- Monitor inventory levels to maintain optimum stock availability while minimizing excess, obsolete, damaged, or expired materials.
- Manage the transfer and movement of materials and equipment between projects, warehouses, and other company locations.
- Ensure effective execution of logistics plans in coordination with relevant external and internal parties.
- Monitor and control material returns, damaged goods, replacements, warranty claims, and related commercial matters.
- Identify supply chain risks and develop mitigation and contingency plans to prevent project disruption.
- Monitor supply chain performance, costs, delivery schedules, and key performance indicators, providing regular reports to senior management.
- Identify opportunities for cost optimization, process improvement, digitalization, and overall supply chain efficiency.
- Ensure compliance with company policies, approved procurement procedures, contractual requirements, and applicable regulations.
- Lead, develop, and manage the Supply Chain team to ensure effective performance and service delivery.
- Support project teams in resolving critical supply, material, logistics, and subcontractor-related issues.
- Ensure proper control, protection, and efficient utilization of company materials, equipment, and other supply chain assets.
- Provide supply chain insights and recommendations to senior management to support business and project decisions.
- Perform other assigned duties and responsibilities as directed by the direct supervisor.
Required Qualifications and Experience
- Over 10 years of strong experience in procurement, sourcing, logistics, warehousing, inventory, and materials management within project-based environments.
- An established network and strong relationships with major manufacturers, suppliers, subcontractors, and logistics providers.
- Strong understanding of the commercial, contractual, financial, and legal aspects of supply chain activities within the infrastructure/construction industry.
- In-depth knowledge of supplier and subcontractor management and performance evaluation.
- Excellent problem-solving, analytical, negotiation, and decision-making skills.
- Ability to work independently and effectively lead cross-functional teams.
- Experience working in a multicultural and multinational environment is preferred.
Stakeholder Engagement
The Supply Chain Manager will engage extensively with a wide range of internal and external stakeholders. Internally, this includes collaboration with all departments, particularly Contracts, Engineering, Planning, Quality, Logistics, Finance, and Project Management. Externally, the role involves building and maintaining relationships with manufacturers, suppliers, transporters, logistics providers, and subcontractors to ensure seamless and efficient supply chain operations.
Work Environment and Reporting
This is a full-time senior management position based in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. The Supply Chain Manager will report directly to the Executive Vice President (EVP), operating within the dynamic EPC, Construction, and Infrastructure industries.
