About the Role

stc is seeking a Tech Planning Expert to join its team in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. This full-time role is central to supporting the development and execution of technology plans, ensuring adherence to stipulated business policies and procedures. The expert will translate service requirements into technical specifications, estimate budgets, and facilitate infrastructure planning for both MCN and BCN networks.

Technology Planning and Architecture

• Establish a framework for translating MCN and BCN service and network requirements into precise technical specifications, Service Level Agreements (SLAs), and feature definitions.
• Translate MCN and BCN technology architecture and designs into actionable technology delivery plans, specifying the number of sites, nodes, and platforms required, along with resilience levels and failover capabilities to ensure optimal service across all regions.
• Continuously assess future MCN and BCN network needs, testing methodologies, and business architecture implications within technology planning to support emerging technologies and service enhancements.

Infrastructure Design and Expansion

• Design scalable infrastructure and network expansion plans that accommodate future technologies and ensure seamless integration of innovations.

Financial Planning and Cross-Functional Coordination

• Estimate future technology budgets and spending related to new technologies, network expansion, and service upgrades.
• Coordinate with Strategy & Governance, Finance, and Commercial sectors to manage the technology budget and ensure cost-effective allocation of resources for infrastructure investments.
• Support the alignment of technology financial strategies with organizational financial objectives, in collaboration with the Finance sector.

Network Validation and Innovation

• Participate in lab and testing activities to validate compliance of the network and applications with performance standards and SLAs prior to deployment.
• Conduct benchmarking reviews to align testing parameters with evolving network and service performance targets and user expectations.
• Contribute to the development of Proof of Concepts (PoCs) for prospective MCN and BCN customers, showcasing Specialized’s technological value and enhancing win-rates in alignment with the Commercial sector.

Required Experience

Candidates for this full-time position should possess 5-10 years of relevant experience in technology planning or a related field.
