The Opportunity: Product Manager

BYD Europe is seeking a Product Manager to join its team in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. This full-time role focuses on supporting product localisation activities to ensure seamless and timely vehicle launches for a selected passenger car portfolio within the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia (KSA). The Product Manager will play a key role in coordinating product requirements and managing critical processes throughout the full product lifecycle.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage the end-to-end lifecycle of an assigned passenger car portfolio, including competitor benchmarking, pricing strategy, product positioning, value proposition, and broader localisation requirements.
• Coordinate and support vehicle launches, ensuring alignment with overall business objectives and go-to-market strategy.
• Communicate product features, updates, and changes clearly and effectively to internal stakeholders and external partners.
• Collaborate with internal cross-functional teams and R&D across KSA and China to drive timely delivery of product enhancements based on customer feedback and compliance requirements.
• Develop and maintain core product documentation, including Market Product Specification (MPC) sheets, ensuring accuracy and consistency.
• Maintain consistent communication with third-party automotive partners and suppliers.
• Work closely with the Customer Experience team to identify opportunities for improving the customer journey and addressing product-related enquiries.
• Proactively identify and drive continuous product improvements based on customer feedback, market insights, and performance data.
• Perform additional duties as assigned by the line manager, in alignment with business needs.

Required Qualifications

• Proven experience within the automotive industry, ideally in a product management or product planning role at OEM HQ, National Sales Company, or Distributor level.
• Exposure to electric vehicles is preferred.
• Clear written and verbal communication skills.
• Familiarity with New Energy Vehicle (NEV) technical and product elements, such as ADAS, emissions standards, or functional safety regulations.
• A valid driver's license for passenger cars.
