About the Trade Credit Insurance Specialist Role

Aon in the Middle East is seeking a Trade Credit Insurance Specialist to join its Credit Solutions practice in Riyadh. This full-time role will focus on the structuring, placement, and management of trade credit insurance programs for large, complex, and global clients. The position supports the growth of Aon’s trade credit portfolio across key sectors within the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage a portfolio of trade credit insurance clients, overseeing renewals, servicing, and ongoing advisory.
• Execute policy placements, ensuring delivery against client expectations and timelines, coordinating with local and international partners.
• Serve as a primary point of contact and center of excellence for clients regarding credit risk and insurance matters.
• Monitor portfolio performance, including exposure, limits, and insurer participation.
• Provide technical expertise to support business development, driving new opportunities and existing client growth.
• Identify opportunities for cross-selling credit solutions and broader Aon capabilities.
• Participate in client pitches, proposals, and strategic discussions.
• Structure and place complex trade credit programs for large corporates and multinational clients.
• Negotiate coverage terms, limits, pricing, and wording enhancements with insurers.
• Develop tailored solutions based on client-specific risk profiles, receivables exposure, and credit strategy.
• Support large account reviews and bespoke structuring for key clients.
• Analyze client portfolios, including buyer exposures, sector concentrations, and geographic risks.
• Provide advisory on risk mitigation strategies, credit limit structures, and trade finance optimization.
• Interpret financial statements and credit data to assess counterparty risk and non-payment exposure.
• Develop and maintain relationships with local and international insurers and reinsurers.
• Track market developments and provide insights on capacity, pricing trends, and underwriting appetite.
• Contribute to the development of portfolio-level credit strategies for key clients.
• Advise on solutions supporting working capital optimization and access to financing.
• Support the implementation of innovative structures, including structured credit and alternative risk transfer.

Required Experience and Skills

The ideal candidate will possess 5-10 years of experience in trade credit insurance, credit risk, or structured credit. Proven experience handling large-scale corporate or multinational trade credit clients is essential. Strong technical knowledge of trade credit insurance products, credit risk analysis and underwriting principles, and trade finance instruments (*, receivables, LC structures, guarantees) is required. The role demands a demonstrated ability to manage and grow a client portfolio, structure and negotiate complex insurance placements, and engage effectively with senior stakeholders from both clients and insurers.

Candidates should have international exposure or experience working with global markets and insurers, coupled with a strong understanding of regional (KSA / GCC) and international credit environments. An academic background in Finance, Economics, or Business is preferred.
