******* operates as Saudi Arabia’s leading event ticketing and experience booking platform, recognized for its technology, features, agility, and revenue performance. The platform serves major mega-events across the Kingdom and has surpassed 2 billion in sales. Webook is currently focused on developing the region's primary marketplace for live events.
The Role of Trade Director
Webook is seeking a Trade Director to establish and lead its commercial growth strategy. This full-time position, based in Riyadh, Riyadh Province, involves building the trading function from its foundational stages, encompassing strategy development, team formation, framework implementation, and driving results. The Trade Director will hold ownership of the P&L, set the commercial direction for the business, and report directly to the Chief Commercial Officer (CCO).
Key Responsibilities
- Own the e-commerce trading calendar, including planning, prioritizing, and executing revenue-generating activities across the ******* events marketplace.
- Establish and manage commercial Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) such as revenue, conversion rate, Average Order Value (AOV), promotional Return on Investment (ROI), inventory sell-through, and repeat purchase rate.
- Develop *******'s pricing and promotions framework, defining the application and evaluation of discounts, bundles, and incentive structures.
- Lead the Trading Team by recruiting, onboarding, and developing three direct reports.
- Collaborate with the Marketing team to align trading activities with acquisition campaigns and seasonal demand.
- Work with the Product team to integrate commercial requirements into the platform roadmap.
- Partner with Operations to translate supply landscape insights into actionable trading plans.
- Report trading performance to the CCO weekly and monthly, providing clear analysis and recommendations.
- Cultivate a test-and-learn environment through structured A/B testing across offers, pricing, and merchandising strategies.
Required Experience
- A minimum of 8 years of experience in e-commerce trading, merchandising, or commercial management, with at least 3 years in a senior or leadership capacity.
- Demonstrated success in owning and expanding a trading P&L within a marketplace, retail, or ticketing/events platform environment.
- Experience in building and scaling a trading or commercial function, including team hiring and development.
- A professional background in fast-paced, high-growth settings with cross-functional accountability.
- Prior exposure to the events, ticketing, or live entertainment sector is considered an advantage.
Skills and Capabilities
- Strong commercial acumen, including a deep understanding of pricing strategy, promotional mechanics, and margin management.
- A data-driven mindset, with confidence in interpreting performance data, developing dashboards, and translating insights into trading decisions.
- Proficiency in designing and executing A/B tests and structured experiments to optimize conversion, AOV, and promotional ROI.
- Ability to construct and maintain a dynamic trading calendar aligned with marketing campaigns and seasonal demand patterns.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills, capable of presenting performance and strategy clearly to senior leadership.
- Proficiency with analytics and trading tools such as Google Analytics, Tableau, Excel/Sheets, or similar Business Intelligence (BI) platforms.
