About the Training Intern Role

ALSTOM Transmission & Distribution is seeking a Training Intern to support the Training & Competency team. This full-time position is based in Riyadh and offers an opportunity to contribute to knowledge development and cross-functional collaboration within the organization. The role requires 0-1 years of experience.

Role within the Organization

This position reports hierarchically to the Training & Facility Manager. The intern will work closely with the Training & Competency team, contributing to both training initiatives and cross-functional engineering and operational tasks.

Key Responsibilities

  • Support the planning, coordination, and execution of training programs and Learning Management System (LMS) activities on the Alstom University Platform in Riyadh.
  • Assist in the preparation and analysis of training reports, Key Performance Indicators (KPIs), and Dashboards utilizing LMS tools and Power BI.
  • Act as a liaison between the Training Department and other departments, such as Production, Operations, and HR, to address training and competency needs.
  • Participate in cross-functional projects, providing analytical, administrative, and technical support for engineering and operational activities.
  • Aid in identifying training needs through collaboration with various departments and ensure alignment with organizational objectives.
  • Support the design, development, and continuous improvement of training materials and learning solutions.
  • Assist in organizing and coordinating external training sessions, including communication with suppliers and service providers.
  • Ensure adherence to ALSTOM procedures and standards in all activities.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date training records and documentation.
  • Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives within the Training Department and support innovation in learning approaches.
  • Ensure compliance with Health, Safety, and Environmental (HSE) requirements in line with ALSTOM standards.

Qualifications and Requirements

  • Possession of a Computer Diploma or a similar qualification.
  • Fluent English language skills; proficiency in other languages is considered a plus.
  • Good communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Basic proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
  • Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple tasks effectively.
  • Proactive, motivated, and eager to learn.
  • Flexibility and openness to work across different tasks and departments.
  • A team player with a positive attitude.
  • Basic technical engineering knowledge is considered an advantage.

Work Environment and Location

This is a full-time position located in Riyadh. The role involves working within the Training & Competency team, with exposure to various departments across the organization.
